Women Walking Tall
Stiltdancing Performance Troupe

The mission of Women Walking Tall is to empower women and girls through the ancient art of stiltwalking.

Founded in 1991 by Terry Sendgraff, the Women Walking Tall Stiltdancing Performance Troupe consists of women from the San Francisco Bay Area who have received training in the ancient art of stiltwalking, in stiltdancing and performance art.

This troupe presents unique performances, processionals, rituals and opening and closing ceremonies for large and small organizations in indoor and outdoor spaces. It also makes appearances, with group sizes varying from 3 to 30, at community events and benefits. In addition, the women may serve as meet-and-greet, walkaround stilters.
